About Chris

Born and raised in New Hampshire, I have lived in Virginia, the DC area, Minnesota and now Charleston for the last 3 years.  Although I’ll never earn the title “GRITS” (Girl Raised in the South), I do find myself acclimating to the lowcountry more and more each day.  Warm temperatures, sunny days, beautiful sunsets (along with humidity, gnats, and mosquitoes) have become a part of my every day life.

I worked for the Federal Government for 23 years at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (in Maine) and at the Dept. of Energy (in Washington, DC).  My job as program analyst was varied and interesting and it afforded me the opportunity to work in the areas of training, personnel, budget, telecommunications and long-range planning.  However, the most rewarding job I ever had was to be able to stay at home and raise a child.

My role within WSI is Business Manager.  Quickbooks is my new best friend; it’s a powerful tool that allows me to handle the day-to-day aspects of all accounting issues (i.e. payroll, taxes, billing, etc.).  I invoice and receive payments from clients and resolve billing/other business issues through email or telephone contact.
